KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Sept. 18, 2018) – On Monday, the Skyline Conference declared their men's cross country weekly award winners and a pair of USMMA freshmen swept the accolades. Lucas Jordan (Littleton, Colo.) earned his third weekly honor of the season, garnering Runner of the Week for the second-straight week, while classmate Andrew Suarez (East Meadow, N.Y.) was selected as the Rookie of the Week.
Jordan was the top Skyline finisher at the Queensborough Invite on Sunday, completing the challenging Van Cortlandt Park 8K course in 29:19.2, which was good for third place (first among DIII runners). He helped lead the Mariners to a first-place team finish at the meet.
Suarez was the first Division III runner to finish the 8K race at the NYIT Invitational on Saturday, as he came in 20th place overall with a time of 28:06.78, helping lead the Mariners to a fourth-place finish at the meet (first among DIII schools).

The Mariners return to action on Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Mount St. Mary Invitational. First race is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome in Milton, N.Y.
