KINGS POINT, N.Y. (April 3, 2019) – The Skyline Conference announced on Monday that USMMA sophomores Joe Raab (Edwardsburg, Mich.) and Vincenzo Alteri (Watertown, N.Y.) both earned spots on the league's weekly honor roll for baseball for the week ending March 31. The praise comes after their performances during the Mariners' 5-0 week last week, including four Skyline wins throughout the weekend.
Raab tossed eight innings of one-run ball with five hits allowed and 10 strikeouts in the Mariners' 3-1 road victory over Mount St. Mary on Saturday. It was his second-straight start with double-digit strikeouts.
Alteri batted an incredible .583 (7-for-12) on the week with a triple, five RBIs, three runs scored and four stolen bases in the first four games of the week. This is the second time this season that Alteri has landed on the Skyline weekly honor roll, as he was also recognized for the week ending March 17.
