Volleyball Drops First Match of Season to NYU-Poly Tech, 3-2
Sep 2, 2010 - KINGS POINT, N.Y. – On Thursday evening, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women’s volleyball team fell to NYU-Poly Tech, 3-2, at Liebertz Gymnasium in Kings Point, N.Y. The final scores for those sets were: 25-19 Poly Tech, 25-14 Poly Tech, 25-12 USMMA, 25-22 USMMA, 15-9 Poly Tech. Following the loss, USMMA drops to 0-1 on the young season. With the win, Poly Tech moves to 1-0 on the year.

Volleyball Selected Seventh in Landmark Conference Preseason Poll
Aug 26, 2010 - MADISON, N.J. – On Wednesday morning, the Landmark Conference office announced its women’s volleyball preseason poll, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy was picked to finish seventh in the league after compiling 19 points. Voting was done by the Landmark’s head volleyball coaches and sports information directors.

Jesselyn LaValley Named All-Landmark First Team
Nov 11, 2009 - Senior Co-Captain Jesselyn LaValley of the United States Merchant Marine Academy women’s volleyball team was named to the All-Landmark Conference First Team. The announcement was made by the conference office on Monday afternoon. This is the first time that LaValley has earned First Team honors with the Landmark Conference.

Oct 21, 2009 - The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women's volleyball team defeated the College of New Rochelle, 3-0 in Kings Point, NY. The Mariners took game one, 25-11, game two, 25-19 and game three, 25-7. Junior Jenna Palaschak led the way for the Mariners.
