Womens Indoor Track & Field Finish Sixth At Landmarks

The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women’s indoor track and field team finished sixth out of six teams at the Landmark Conference Championships. All of the Mariners that competed at the event for the women were freshman.
Lauren Rattan had two individual strong finishes on the day to lead the Mariners. She finished 10th in the 800 meter with a time of 2:39.66 and 12th in the 400 meter dash in 1:06.11. Rebecca Critics took 11th in the Shot Put with a distance of 8.09 meters and also finished in 16th in the 400 meter dash in 1:17.38. Misty Harris came in 15th in the 200 meter dash in 32.35 while Kacey Rohloff took 16th in 36.27. The women’s 4x200 relay team finished 6th with a time of 2:09.85. The team consisted of Harris, Rohloff, Rattan and Critics.
The Mariners return to action on Friday, March 6th when they compete in the ECAC Championships.
