Women's XC Place Second Overall

The United States Merchant Marine Academy women's cross country team finished second out of 11 teams this afternoon at the Travis Fuller Invitational. Senior Christine Jaszlics led the Mariners for the event.
Jaszlics won an individual award by taking third place overall at the invitational with a time of 21:05. Senior MaryRose Rooney followed for the Mariners with a time of 21:31 for 10th overall while junior Christine Fernandez-O’Toole rounded out the top 20 finishing 15th with a time of 21:47. Junior Lindsay Watkins with a time of 22.00 finished directly behind her teammate in 16th place overall.
The Mariners return to action on Saturday, September 19th when they travel to the Dickinson Invitational.
