Men’s Lacrosse Stumbles Against No. 1 Gettysburg, 19-3
Mar 9, 2010 - KINGS POINT, N.Y. – On Tuesday afternoon, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men’s lacrosse team fell to No. 1 Gettysburg College, 19-3, at Shirk Field in Gettysburg, Pa. The Mariners were not able to overcome the deficit, which started out with an 11-0 run for the Bullets. With the win, Gettysburg improved to 5-0 on the year. Following the loss, Kings Point fell to 2-1 overall.

Men’s Lacrosse Defeats DeSales for Second Win of Season, 16-8
Mar 8, 2010 - KINGS POINT, N.Y. – On Sunday afternoon, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men’s lacrosse squad posted its second win in as many chances this season with a 16-8 victory over DeSales University at Brooks Stadium in Kings Point, N.Y. Junior attack Zach Gray continued his early season excellence contributing five points (three goals, two assists). With the win, the Mariners improved to 2-0 on the season. Following the loss, the Bulldogs fell to 1-1.

Gray Earns Player of the Week Accolades for Five-Goal Performance
Mar 1, 2010 - MADISON, N.J. – On Monday morning, the Landmark Conference announced its Player of the Week for men’s lacrosse and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy junior attacker Zach Gray was given the honor. The midshipman played a decisive part in Sunday’s thrilling season-opening 8-7 overtime victory over FDU-Florham by scoring a game-high five goals.

With the win, the Mariners move to 1-0 on the young season. Following the loss, the Devils fell to 0-2 overall.
Men's Lacrosse Season Opener Moved to Sunday
Feb 25, 2010 - KINGS POINT, N.Y. - The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men's lacrosse team will have to wait another day to get its 2010 season underway. Due to field conditions and inclement weather, the game against FDU-Florham has been moved to Sunday at noon. If the game cannot be played on Sunday, the two squads will not reschedule.
Men's Lacrosse Prepares to Defend Landmark Championship
Feb 18, 2010 - KINGS POINT, N.Y. - The United States Merchant Marine Academy men’s lacrosse program had one of its most successful seasons in school history last year. Led by Head Coach Tom Gill, who has been at Kings Point for 23 years, the 2009 Mariners finished the year winning their first Landmark Conference championship when they defeated the University of Scranton, 8-6. Over the course of the regular season, USMMA went 11-6 overall while posting a league-leading 5-1 conference slate. Moreover, the Mariners earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament, but fell to Eastern Connecticut State in the first round in overtime, 10-9.
