Flannery’s Seven Point Effort Guides Lacrosse Past Maritime, 13-10
Mar 17, 2010 - KINGS POINT, N.Y. – On Wednesday evening, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men’s lacrosse team walked onto the field at Brooks Stadium donning green warm-up jerseys in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. The Mariners were led by fellow midshipman Foster Hardt, who played homage to the Irish holiday by serenading the crowd with bagpipes. When all the festivities concluded, Kings Point squared off against the Privateers from across the pond for the right to take home the Hagedorn Cup. Senior attack Brian Flannery helped that cause as he netted four goals and dished out three assists (a game-high seven points) to lead USMMA past SUNY Maritime, 13-10.

Men’s Lacrosse Set for St. Patrick’s Day Clash with Maritime
Mar 15, 2010 - KINGS POINT, N.Y. – The United States Merchant Marine Academy men’s lacrosse team will have a special St. Patrick’s Day tribute before they take on Maritime College on Wednesday evening at Brooks Stadium in Kings Point, N.Y. The Mariners will wear green warm-up jerseys in honor of the Irish holiday. They will also be led to the field by a member of the Kings Point football team, freshman defensive lineman John French , who will be playing the bagpipes. The opening faceoff is slated for 7 p.m.

Junior attack Zach Gray helped lead his team to victory as he recorded a game-high four goals and two assists. With the win, the Mariners improved to 3-1 on the season. Following the loss, the Valiants fells to 1-2 overall.

Mar 9, 2010 - KINGS POINT, N.Y. – On Tuesday afternoon, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men’s lacrosse team fell to No. 1 Gettysburg College, 19-3, at Shirk Field in Gettysburg, Pa. The Mariners were not able to overcome the deficit, which started out with an 11-0 run for the Bullets. With the win, Gettysburg improved to 5-0 on the year. Following the loss, Kings Point fell to 2-1 overall.
Men’s Lacrosse Defeats DeSales for Second Win of Season, 16-8
Mar 8, 2010 - KINGS POINT, N.Y. – On Sunday afternoon, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men’s lacrosse squad posted its second win in as many chances this season with a 16-8 victory over DeSales University at Brooks Stadium in Kings Point, N.Y. Junior attack Zach Gray continued his early season excellence contributing five points (three goals, two assists). With the win, the Mariners improved to 2-0 on the season. Following the loss, the Bulldogs fell to 1-1.
