Michael Del Prete enters his first year as an assistant tennis
coach at the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Del Prete has
been teaching and coaching tennis for the past 30 years. He played
on a professional team in Germany in the late 1970s and early
1980s. In addition, Del Prete has owned and operated tennis clubs
and sporting facilities since 1996. Del Prete was the USPTA Player
of the Year in 1984.
Del Prete received a bachelors degree in chemistry from St. John's
University in 1977. He currently resides in Rye, N.Y.
